Guided Tours

Information

To discover the secrets of the Theater, we offer a guided tour that will give you the opportunity to visit the Theater Hall, the Sale del Ridotto, the Library and the striking Sala degli Argani, a “non-place” located in the attic of the building that houses the original winches dating back to the 1700s that were used to raise the chandeliers.

Compatible with the ongoing activity in the halls guided tours can be given within the spaces of the Theater on the following days and times:
  • Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday from 9 a.m. (first shift) to noon (last shift).
  • There are NO guided tours scheduled for December 24-25-26, December 31-January 6, 2026, April 3-4-5-6, April 23-25, May 1, June 2
  • Guided tours are suspended during July and August.
  • To ensure maximum efficiency and sustainability, the minimum number per shift is 2 people with a maximum of 20.

Reservations

Reservations must be made, at least 15 days in advance of the desired date by writing to visite@teatrocomunaleferrara.it or calling+39 0532 218 333 (Monday through Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.).

Payment will be made at the guided tour.

Rates

  • adults: €8;
  • under 18 and over 65: €5;
  • Class groups: €5 (per student);
  • For teachers and pupils with certifications, the visit is free of charge

Behind the scenes of the Opera

Guided tours of the secrets of the exhibition, including sets and costumes. With Lorenzo Cutuli
Set designer Lorenzo Cutùli offers behind-the-scenes theatrical tours of some works scheduled at the Teatro Comunale in Ferrara, to introduce audiences to the “secrets” of the scenes. The tours consist of an initial introduction to the show and the stage space of the staged work, before moving on to the stage, where the characteristics of the stage itself, the materials used, the use and positioning of lighting, and the management of the stage space will be illustrated.
