Ferrara takes the podium
The Teatro Comunale in Ferrara is hosting a special event for the city: “Ferrara Takes to the Podium”. The event, conducted by Maestro Alessandro Nidi, features Marco Sgarbi, actor and organisational and technical director of Ferrara Off. The stars of the evening will be the children of Class V A from the San Vincenzo State-approved School in Ferrara who, with enthusiasm and courage, will take to the stage in a special role to conduct the d’Este Symphony Orchestra. It will be a unique opportunity to experience a blend of music, emotion and participation, allowing them to experience the theatre as true protagonists.

How the project was born
Ferrara climbs the Podium is a music pedagogy project born in 2021 thanks to Moni Ovadia and Maestro Alessandro Nidi and aimed at the spiritual, cultural and human growth of children through the conducting of an orchestra.
Nidi himself claims that Teaching conducting to children, young people, adults, and the elderly, without them having to have any musical knowledge or skills, is a work that starts solely from the emotions that music gives us.
Initiating them into the culture or allowing for personalized learning can be fascinating by offering them this new listening point: listening to the conductor.
Conducting, the most complex and coveted profession, really only has at first glance, the possibility of being done without any kind of technique, which is impossible for any other instrumental study .
