    WORLD PREMIERE

The dancer Melaku Belay is a worldwide messenger of the ancient history of his country, Ethiopia. For years he has been working at the Fendika, a historic cultural centre in the heart of Addis Ababa and the place where the most interesting groups of the Ethio-scene performJazz but where there is also the traditional Ethiopian dance and music and their mixing with European research music, the training of young dancers and dancers, photographic exhibitions and visual arts, poetry reading. At the Fendika in 2019 takes place the meeting between Melaku Belay and the North African Gnawa culture reworked by the Bolognese project Fawda then on tour between Egypt, Morocco and Ethiopia.
