There are only three reasons to enter the hospital: if you are ill, if you visit a sick person, or if you are particularly unlucky, if you have to work there.
The protagonist of this monologue had imagined for himself a bright future as a footballer, astronaut or lawyer; but the fate is sometimes surprising, sometimes bizarre, and almost always mysterious, and so, while he is about to receive the golden ball, Opening his eyes he finds in his hands a broom.
After a whirlwind journey through all the wards of the hospital, through beds to be redone, nuns, doctors, real and imaginary patients, hopes of healing and diagnosis that extinguish smiles, always with two trusted friends: The broom and the urine bottle.
This last is the tool hated by everyone in the hospital, who must use it, who must clean it, the Primary does not want to see it, relatives want to hide it. But through the urine bottle passes all humanity, all the delicacy, all the shame and respect of when you need help and someone who keeps company to our fragility.

After the success of Fare un’anima, Giacomo Poretti returns to the theater with a monologue that draws on his personal experience, to smile at his lane memoirs and try to answer with the audience the age-old question “Now who empties the urine bottle?”
