Tango Glaciale debuted in Naples in 1982. Written by Mario Martone and played by Andrea Renzi, Tomas Arana and Licia Maglietta, all exponents of the movement: Falso Movimento which was a collective of artists who changed the history of Italian Theatre Experimentation. “The visual mechanics of the show – explains Martone – is composed of a system of light architectures realized through the editing of films and slides, and allows the show to unfold in twelve rooms for twelve different sets, over the duration of an hour, with an average of a change of scene every five minutes “. Today the show has been rearranged into a manoeuvre that, after 35 years, re-confirms the absolute revolutionary nature of the project.
